A Supplication to the Five World-Protecting Deities for the Happiness of Tibet and Kham

DREN CHHOG SHA KYAY TOG LA SOL WA DEB

I supplicate the crown ornament of the supreme guide, Shakyamuni:

TEN PA YUN RING NAY PAR JIN GYIY LOB

Grant your blessings that the Teachings may remain for a very long time!

TEN ZHAB TUED PAY LA LO LA SOG PAY

Through bowing to the exalted feet of the Teacher, may the barbarians and so on,

CHHOE MIN NAG CHHOG T’HAM CHAY JOM PAR SHOG

and the darkness of non-Dharma in all directions be subdued!

P’HAG CHHOG CHEN RAY ZIG LA SOL WA DEB

I supplicate the supremely Noble Avalokiteshvara:

CHHOE T’HRIM DAR ZHING JIN GYIY LOB

grant your blessings that the precepts of the Dharma may flourish!

DIG CHOED GYAL T’HRIM MI GEY YUL SROEL NGEN

Destructive conduct, non-virtuous law of the land, and negative habits of the country:

DU T’HRUG TS’OEN GYI KAL PA NYAM PAR SHOG

may the age of wars and weapons be averted!

GYAL WANG OR GYEN CHHEN POR SOL WA DEB

I supplicate the King of Power, the Great Orgyen:

NOED CHUED PAL JOR GYAL PAR JIN GYIY LOB

grant your blessings that glory and prosperity may flourish among the outer world and its inner inhabitants!

GYA DRE GONG PO’I SAM JOR NGEN PA DANG

The negative thoughts and deeds of brawling evil spirits and shape-shifting demons:

UL P’HONG MU GEY KAL PA MEY PAR SHOG

may the age of destitution and non-virtue be obliterated!

CHOM DEN MEN PAY GYAL POR SOL WA DEB

I supplicate the Transcendent Conqueror, the King of Medicine:

KYE GU DE KYID TS’HO WAR JIN GYIY LOB

grant your blessings that happiness and bliss may be nurtured amongst all living beings!

MA RIG NYON MONG GYAY KYED DU WA ZHII

In four different ways of accumulating, bewilderment and disturbing emotions flourish and expand:

NAY DANG RIM KYI KAL PA ZHI WAR SHOG

may the age of sickness and epidemics be pacified!

JE TSUN P’HAG MA DROL MAR SOL WA DEB

I supplicate the sacred queen Arya Tara:

DAM CHHOE TS’HUL ZHIN CHOED PAR JIN GYIY LOB

grant your blessings that our conduct may be in accord with the sacred Dharma!

DU MIN CHHI DANG BAR CHHAY NYER TS’HE KYEN

The conditions of untimely death, obstacles, and injury:

CHHI NANG JIG GYAY YO T’HRUG SEL WAR SHOG

May both outer and inner forms of the eight great fears, agitation, and disturbance be dispeled!

NYIG MAY DRO LA LHAG PAR T’HUG TSE WAY

You who have exceeding affection and love for the beings of this degenerate age,

TSA SUM SRUNG MAR CHAY LA SOL WA DEB

I supplicate the Three Roots, together with all the Dharma Guardians:

BOE KHAM YUN DU DE WAR JIN GYIY LOB

grant your blessings that there may be happy times in Tibet and Kham!

TEN DZIN SHAB TEN TEN PA DAR ZHING GYAY

May the exalted feet of the holders of the Teachings remain firm, and may the Teachings spread and flourish!

TEN SRUNG T’HU DEN JIN DAG PAL JOR P’HEL

May the glory of the mighty protectors and benefactors of the Teachings increase!

CHHOE ZHIN DRUB PAY SAM DOEN YID ZHIN DRUB

May all of our activities, wishes, and aims that are in accord with the Dharma be fulfilled and accomplished!

GAL KYEN BAR CHHAY KUN DANG DREL WAR SHOG

May we be separated from all adverse circumstances and obstacles!

NAM KAR GE TSA DRO LA YONG SU NGO

I completely dedicate all these extremely pure roots of virtue to all beings:

KUN KYANG NYUR DU SANG GYAY T’HOB PAR SHOG

may all of them without exception swiftly attain buddhahood!

Thus, one born in these final times in a mantric family, Choying Dorje, with completely pure motivation, prayed in this way,  and likewise, may it be accomplished. Mangalam!
