We offer instruction in all forms of Tibetan language: Classical Literary Tibetan, Modern Spoken Tibetan and Modern Literary Tibetan. The material covered includes grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, terminology and etymology, presented in detailed explanations by the teacher.
Our instruction is led by a professional translator with 17+ years of experience working with Tibetan Buddhist texts, academic publications, and native Tibetan speakers. This practical expertise ensures you learn not just textbook Tibetan, but the language as it's actually used in real-world Buddhist, academic, and cultural contexts. All courses can be fully customized or combined based on your initial consultation and learning objectives.
In addition, students may choose to study specific Tibetan texts with the teacher, upon request.
Classical Literary Tibetan (Textual)
