ཨེ་མ་ཧོ།།

ÉMAHO! (How wondrous!)

དད་གུས་རྟག་པས་བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་འཛིན།།

DAY-GÜ TAK-PAY LA-MA SANG-GYAY DZIN

With constant faith and respect, you hold the Guru as Buddha;

བརྩེ་སེམས་བརྟན་པས་སློབ་མ་བུ་བཞིན་སྐྱོང་།།

TSÉ-SEM TEN-PAY LOP-MA BU-ZHIN KYONG

With stable loving mind, you nourish the disciples like children;

ཐབས་ཤེས་ལྡན་པས་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་ཕྲིན་ལས་སྤེལ།།

T’AP-SHEY DEN-PAY SHAY-DRUP T’RIN-LAY PEL

With method and insight, you spread the awakened activity of exposition and practice:

དམ་པའི་ཚུལ་དགུས་རྒྱན་པར་ཁྱོད་ལ་བསྔགས།།

DAM-PA’Y TS’UL GÜ GYEN-PAR KHYÖ LA NGAK

Praise be to You, one adorned by the Nine Ways of the Transcendent Dharma.

ཅེས་རབ་གནས་མེ་སྤྲེལ་ཟླ་ཚེས་དགེ་བར་སྐྱེན་སྤྲུལ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་གྲགས་པ་ལ་ཤྲཱིཿཨེ་མ་ཧོས་བགྱིས་པར་དགེའོ།། །།

And thus, on a virtuous month and day in the Fire Monkey (me sbrel) Year of the Tibetan sixty-year astrological cycle (rab gnas), this was composed by Śrī Émaho for Kyentrul Jamyang Drakpa (skyen-sprul ‘jam-dbyangs grags-pa). Virtue!
