Ju Mipham Rinpoche on the ‘Golden Dhāraṇī’ from the Sūtra of Golden Light (Suvarṇaprabhāsa Sūtra)
NAMO RATNA TRAYĀYA/ TADYATHĀ/ KUṬI KUṬINI/ IMIRITO/ KOṢANI/ IMIRIṆI/ IRĪ SVĀHĀ
Tibetan pronunciation: NAMO RATNA TRAYĀYA/ TAY-YATHĀ/ KUṬI KUṬINI/ IMIRITO/ KOSHANI/ IMIRIṆI/ IRĪ SWŌHĀ
By reciting this Dhāraṇī known as ‘Golden’, which is taught in the Noble Sūtra of Golden Light, positive karmic potential (or merit) will increase tremendously. And thereby food, clothing and wealth will be obtained; freedom from sickness, long life, and whatever is wished and hoped for will be accomplished according to one’s wishes; roots of virtue will be generated under infinite Buddhas; one will be protected by the Bodhisattvas until the attainment of Buddhahood; and one’s prediction of (future) Buddhahood will be confirmed.
Furthermore, it is of supremely great benefit to do the activity ritual, by reciting eighty thousand (80,000) repetitions (of the Golden Dhāraṇī), as is taught (in the text of the sūtra).
